WILMINGTON — Legendary country star Hank Williams, Jr. will headline the 2019 North Carolina Azalea Festival in downtown Wilmington.
On Tuesday morning, the festival announced its headliner for its concert scheduled this spring.
2019 will be the North Carolina Azalea Festival’s 71st annual celebration in Wilmington. Tickets for the concert, planned for April 5 at 7 p.m., go on sale Saturday, Jan. 19.
Country singer-songwriter Frank Foster will open up for Hank Williams, Jr. Starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, tickets will become available at the Azalea Festival’s website. During this month, tickets will be on sale at an early bird rate of $45. Through February, tickets will cost $55, and day-of tickets — granted there are any left — will be $65.
