CAROLINA BEACH — In an incident believed to be connected to an attempted robbery of a Hardee’s restaurant last night, the Carolina Beach Police Department responded to a bank robbery at approximately 1 p.m. this afternoon.

According to the Carolina Beach Police Department, a man entered First Citizen’s Bank with a note demanding money, committed a robbery, and fled the area on foot. Today’s heist mirrored the Hardee’s incident – an unarmed suspect using a note then fleeing on foot – but today the suspect was able to obtain an unknown amount of cash.

The subject appears to be a white male in his late 20s to early 30s. The Hardee’s suspect was described as a white female in her early to mid-20s, according to surveillance video.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Carolina Beach Police Department at (910) 458-2540 or dial 911.
