WILMINGTON — December is well underway and the holidays are in full swing with less than two weeks until Christmas — is there still time to get gifts out to family and friends across the country?
Well good news for procrastinators, the United States Postal Service and other major mail carriers have several options when it comes to shipping that will get gifts to their final destinations by Christmas.
USPS
According to USPS, these are the “send-by” dates for expected delivery before Dec. 25.
- Dec. 14 — USPS Retail Ground
- Dec. 19 — First-Class Mail
- Dec. 20 — Priority Mail
- Dec. 22 — Priority Mail Express
UPS
- Dec. 18 — Last day to ship UPS 3 Day Select for delivery before Christmas
- Dec. 20 — Last day to ship UPS 2nd Day Air for delivery before Christmas with delivery on Dec. 22
- Dec. 22 — Last day to ship UPS Next Day Air packages to be delivered before Christmas
FedEx
- Dec. 15 — FedEx Ground
- Dec. 19 — FedEx Express Saver
- Dec. 20 — FedEx 2Day
- Dec. 21 — FedEx Overnight
- Dec. 22 — FedEx Overnight for Dec. 23 delivery add $16 fee
