WILMINGTON — If you’re headed downtown on this week, you might catch a break: for a few days, on-street parking will be free.
From Thursday, Nov. 23 through Saturday, Nov. 25, metered parking in downtown Wilmington will be free. According to Malissa Talbert, city spokeswoman, the free parking is “in observance of the onset of the holiday shopping season.”
As usual, on-street parking on Sunday will also be free.
Parking decks will continue to charge regular rates, with the first hour free, as usual.
