Wilmington police investigate stabbing that left one man hospitalized

WILMINGTON — Wilmington Police are seeking information from the public regarding a violent assault that left one man hospitalized with multiple stab wounds.

According to Wilmington PD spokeswoman Linda Rawley, officers were dispatched to a convenience store located at 519 Chestnut St. shortly before 1 p.m. yesterday.

Upon arrival, officers found a 41-year-old male suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The man reported that he was jumped by two men around the store. However, officers were unable to locate a crime scene, no witnesses have come forward, and no suspects have been identified.

EMS transported the victim to New Hanover Regional Medical Center. There was no word on the victims condition at the time of publication. The investigation remains ongoing.
