WILMINGTON — The History Channel/A&E series “Six” has been renewed for a second 10-episode season, according to the History Channel’s Facebook page.
The show’s first season was filmed in and around Wilmington last year; there has been no official word on locations for the upcoming season, according to Johnny Griffin, director of the Wilmington Regional Film Commission.
Griffin confirmed the renewal, telling Port City Daily, “the good news is that they’ve been renewed, so there’s certainly a chance.” Griffin added that the production companies will have to look at scripts and determine what types of locations will be called for.
“Once they’ve done that, then we can step in and see if there’s anything we can do to help in terms of finding the right locations,” he said.
The first season of “Six” initially started Joe Manganiello, who had previously starred on the long-running Wilmington production “One Tree Hill.” Manganiello dropped out and was replaced by Walton Groggins.
