Massage Envy Spa owners donated $10 from every massage and facial session performed on
November 11, 2017 to Operation Homefront
Wilmington, NC – On November 11, each of the 43 Massage Envy clinics in North Carolina participated in the 3rd annual Massage Envy Veterans’ Day Event, including both Wilmington clinics. Each location pledged to donate $10 from every massage and facial service provided on this day to support North Carolina veterans.
This year’s beneficiary is Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit organization with the mission of building strong, stable and secure military families. With the help of their therapists, estheticians and clients, Massage Envy was able to donate $26,540 to Operation Homefront, and all donations will remain within North Carolina to assist our local vets and their families.
North Carolina Massage Envy recognizes the great sacrifices our troops make every day and are honored to contribute to and assist in the efforts of Operation Homefront.
“We thank our troops and their families for their service and we are honored to be able to help support them here at home,” said Jim Fitzsimmons, Regional Developer of Massage Envy North Carolina.
Operation Homefront helps military families during difficult financial times by providing assistance such as food, auto and home repair, vision care, travel and transportation needs and moving assistance, among other forms of support. Recognized for superior performance by leading independent charity oversight groups, 92 percent of Operation Homefront’s expenditures go directly to programs that provide support to our military families.
“Operation Homefront wants military families to thrive – not struggle to get by – in the communities they’ve worked so hard to protect,” said Darden Blow, director of programs for Operation Homefront Carolinas. “North Carolina Massage Envy contributed tremendously to that objective with its generous donation. Operation Homefront could not ask for a better corporate partner than North Carolina Massage Envy, which is a devoted friend of military families statewide.”
