BURGAW – Make up classes that were scheduled for this Saturday, Sept. 10, at Malpass Corner Elementary School in Burgaw have been been rescheduled to next weekend.
According to Miranda Roberts, communications coordinator for Pender County Schools, the school will now hold classes on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 7:45 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.
The school was closed this past Wednesday due to a water pump failure. While Roberts said a new pump has been installed and is working properly, the new equipment has caused an electrical problem in the pump house. Classes had originally been rescheduled for tomorrow.
