Public schools in the area are already closed for spring break, but several local government offices will also be closed on March 25 for Good Friday.
In New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties, government offices will be closed on Good Friday. All libraries in Brunswick County will also be closed on Friday as well as Saturday, March 26. Pender County government offices will also be closed on Easter Monday, March 28.
Offices for the City of Wilmington will be closed on Good Friday, but residents who have their trash and recycling collected on that day will not have their services affected.
Town halls in Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and Wrightsville Beach also will be closed the Friday before Easter and will reopen for regular business the following Monday.
The campuses of the University of North Carolina – Wilmington, Cape Fear Community College and Brunswick Community College will also be closed on Friday. Classes will resume Monday, March 28.
ABC stores in New Hanover County will be open on Good Friday for their regular hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. but will be closed the Monday after Easter.
