Looking for something to do with those empty printer ink cartridges? Take them to Staples to get paid for recycling them!
Normally Staples offers $2 per ink cartridge. The money is paid out in the form of Staples rewards, which are like Staples money that can be spent inside of the store on most items at Staples. The rewards are emailed to you and you can print them at home or at Staples when you are ready to redeem them. At checkout, the cashier scans the bar code and the credit is applied like cash.
This week Staples is offering triple rewards for each cartridge when you spend $60 on ink or toner. There is a limit of three cartridges, so you could get up to $18 in Staples rewards.
I like to use this opportunity to stock up on ink and I usually save my ink cartridges to recycle when they are offering triple rewards. Keep in mind that you do need a Staples rewards card to take advantage of the deal and those are available for free at Staples.
This deal runs through Saturday, September 5 at Staples!
