BRUNSWICK COUNTY — Local nonprofit YWCA is bringing a mobile unit to its campus next week to help the community at large access mammograms easier.

Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center’s mammogram mobile will be set up on Thursday, Oct. 13, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., at 2815 S. College Road. A team of female technologists will run the operation.

Though appointments are not required, they are recommended and all patients will need a primary care provider or OB/GYN to schedule the X-ray and receive the report. Appointments can be made by calling 910-721-1485, with insurance card and government issued ID available, if able.

The unit has six steps and isn’t handicap accessible. Interpretation services are available as well.
