SOUTHEASTERN N.C. — Motorists driving along South Third Street Thursday may endure traffic delays as crews undertake emergency tree repair work.
According to the City of Wilmington, both northbound lanes of South Third Street will close due to contractors with Asplundh Tree Service completing work for Duke Energy Progress. The worker will entail pruning trees and removing a hazardous limb.
The operation will get underway at 10 a.m. with both lanes shuttered at S. 3rd near Queen streets. Traffic controls will be placed to route vehicles around the work site, the city ensured.
