Silver alert: Saphir Deyampert

UPDATE: The Silver Alert for Deyamport was canceled as of Monday, Aug. 15, around 3 p.m.

WILMINGTON — An 18-year-old male is missing, last seen on the afternoon of Aug. 12 in the Mayfaire area near Sir Tyler Drive. According to his family, Deyampert has special needs and could be endangered.

A silver alert has been issued by the North Carolina Center for Missing Persons, which notes he could be suffering from dementia or cognitive impairment.

Deyampert, with brown hair and brown eyes, weighs 98 pounds and stands 5’6″. He is wearing a green and black Oak Island hat, blue T-shirt, a black, grey, white and green camo hoodie, with blue jeans and blue shoes.

Anyone with information regarding the teenager’s location should contact the Wilmington Police Department at 910-343-3609.
