Wildfire burning at Holly Shelter Game Land

PENDER COUNTY — A wildfire is currently burning on the Holly Shelter Game Lands.

The 150-acre property is on fire, and Pender County Emergency Management is on the scene assisting the North Carolina Fire Service to manage it.

Smoke from the fire may affect the Maple Hill, Holly Ridge, and other neighborhoods along the border of Pender and Onslow counties.
