CAROLINA BEACH — On Wednesday close to 5 p.m., island police, the Carolina Beach Fire Department and Novant EMS were called to the Ocean Boulevard beach access on Carolina Beach.
A 56-year-old woman was found unresponsive on the beach. Despite lifesaving measures, Lisa Midyett Kuhn was announced deceased.
CBPD who investigated the scene did not find the cause of death was due to any suspicious circumstances or activity. They are working with the N.C. Medical Examiner’s office to determine how the Willow Spring, N.C., resident passed away.
Kuhn’s next of kin have been notified.
