Teenager hospitalized after hit-and-run

WILMINGTON — A 16-year-old was taken to the hospital after a hit-and-run on Monday night on S. College Road. 

The Wilmington Police Traffic Unit responded to the call at 9:46 p.m. and found the victim lying in the road. Police determined the victim to have serious injuries and transported them to Novant Health NHRMC. 

The suspect is a 30 to 40-year-old vehicle white male with receding brownish-blonde hair. Their vehicle is suspected to be a 2003 to 2008 charcoal gray Honda Pilot. The car is missing its right-side mirror with damage to the right side headlight as well. 

This is an ongoing investigation. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Wilmington Police Department.
