WILMINGTON — A motorcyclist hit by a truck earlier this month has died as a result of his injuries.
On May 6, the Wilmington Police Department responded to a vehicle and motorcycle crash at Gingerwood and Market streets. The motorcyclist was taken to Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center with severe injuries.
Andrew Kester, 67, has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and failure to yield. He was given a $5,000 unsecured bond.
