Baby formula drive and distribution underway

WILMINGTON — The nationwide baby formula shortage has put the City of Wilmington into action.

Starting May 27, the city is hosting a formula drive and distribution to put supplies into the hands of families. Donations are being accepted at the City of Wilmington Fit for Fun Center (302 S 10th St.), an indoor play center for youth from birth to age 5.

According to a press release, staff will hand out formula on a first-come, first-serve basis. Families can take one container per day.

Donation drop-off and pick-up times are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. – noon.
