CFCC reinstates indoor mask mandate ahead of spring semester

WILMINGTON — Cape Fear Community College announced on its website masks will be mandated indoors on campus beginning Thursday, Jan. 6.

“Though we had hoped to start Spring 2022 in a COVID-free environment, the Omicron variant is spreading rapidly throughout the Cape Fear Region,” the message notes.

All students, employees and visitors will be required to wear a face covering when inside of campus buildings.

However, the Wilson Center, the 1,500-seat venue owned by CFCC, will operate on different guidelines, based on artist and renter protocols. Ticketholders should note specific health checks for each performance and events held at the center by clicking here.

CFCC also has a campus health hotline at 910-362-7725 to report positive cases or refer to with Covid-19-related questions.
