Netflix’s ‘Florida Man’ filming on Carolina Beach strand Monday, expect some traffic

Netflix is shooting scenes for “Florida Man” in Carolina Beach Monday.

CAROLINA BEACH — Netflix’s upcoming series “Florida Man” will be set up on 200 yards of beach strand in front of the Pelican Lane access Monday.

The Surfside East and Surfside West parking lots are closed to the public for the shoot.

Throughout the day, drivers should expect some traffic on the 300 block of Carolina Beach Avenue N.

Anyone with questions should contact Tim Murphy, the town’s parks and recreation programs superintendent, at 910-707-2064.

“Florida Man” stars Edgar Ramirez as a former cop who travels from Philadelphia to the sunshine state on the hunt for a mobster’s fugitive girlfriend. “What should’ve been a quick gig turns into a wild odyssey,” the show’s description states.
