Police report stolen car at Wendy’s, deputy sees it park in Houston Moore shortly after

WILMINGTON –– Wilmington Police sent out a BOLO, or “be on the lookout,” for a car stolen at the Wendy’s on Shipyard Boulevard Monday night. Shortly after, a deputy spotted it driving through Houston Moore and arrested the driver and passenger.

Officers responded to the carjacking at the fast-food joint around 8 p.m. Soon after, the vehicle rolled onto Willard Street and parked in front of the deputy.

Law enforcement approached the car and confirmed it was the stolen vehicle.

The driver Keiasia Nesbitt, 22, was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and resist, obstruct and delay. Nesbitt was placed on a $3,000 secured bond.

Passenger Arthur Heyward, 27, was also taken into custody. Heyward had a warrant out against him for a prior robbery with a dangerous weapon, simple affray and felony larceny. Heyward received a $5,100 secured bond.
