New Hanover County hosts walk-up Pfizer vaccine clinic on Tuesday

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Health officials announced it will host a Pfizer vaccine clinic on Tuesday, Apr. 13, 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., at its headquarters at 1650 Greenfield St. No appointment is necessary in advance, and vaccines are open to folks 16 and older.

“If you receive your first dose at this walk-in clinic, you will need to plan to return for your second dose on May 7,” according to a release from public health.

The clinic is coming on the heels of Monday’s Johnson & Johnson walk-up clinic. On Friday, New Hanover County announced the J&J clinic and opened Pfizer vaccine appointments, to be given Monday, Apr. 12, and Tuesday, Apr. 13. Pfizer appointments remained available throughout the weekend and into Monday before the Pfizer clinic was announced Monday evening.
