Cold front coming through by end of week

SOUTHEASTERN N.C. — Just when we get a little too comfortable with 70-degree weather, Mother Nature reminds us it’s still early spring.

While the upper 60s and 70s will continue through Wednesday, the National Weather Service is saying by Thursday and through the weekend, temperatures will dip back down to the lower 50s along the coast of southeastern N.C.

There’s also a possibility for widespread frost on Thursday and Friday nights. It could cause damage to sensitive plants, so be sure to cover them or bring them inside if possible.

As well, Wednesday will bring isolated severe thunderstorms, with possible wind gusts from noon through 9 p.m.

Read up on it from the NWS here.
