MedNorth Health Center will use supply of the recently-approved Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine to inoculate anyone currently eligible. Appointments can be scheduled for the March 12 event at the following link.
Health care workers, frontline essential workers and people 65 or older — groups 1, 2, and 3 of the state’s vaccination plan — can schedule appointments.
According to data from the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services, MedNorth was allocated 400 doses of the one-shot J&& vaccine last week. This week, N.C. did not receive any doses of the newest vaccine, and has distributed Pfizer and Moderna doses to counties.
MedNorth is a federally qualified health center. In recent weeks the center has declined to receive shipments of Moderna doses.
