NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, Mar. 1, through Monday, Mar. 15, at. 5 p.m., multiple roads will be closed from utility construction in the northern area of the county.
“We understand the challenges and inconveniences that commuters, residents, businesses, bicyclists and pedestrians will experience during the closure period and asks for patience and cooperation as we work to complete this project.,” officials from Thomson, Corder and Co. noted in a press release.
The following roads will be impacted, according to the company:
- Entrance to Reisling Way at Champ Davis Rd will be closed to through traffic. Access for local property owners and residents will be maintained at all times.
- The roundabout exit onto Shiraz Way from Porter’s Neck Rd. will be closed to through traffic; local traffic only allowed. Access for local property owners and residents will be maintained at all times.
- The junction of Winery Way and Shiraz Way entering Shiraz Way will be closed and not passable by vehicle, pedestrian, nor bicycle.
Alternative routes will be in operation on Champ Davis until all construction is finished. There will be detour signs rerouting travelers.
