Police in search of suspect who attacked ex with machete

WILMINGTON —  The wilmington Police Department are in search of a 25-year-old black male who attacked his ex-girlfriend with a machete just before 1:30 a.m. on Feb. 1.

Officers were called to the 2200 block of Wrightsville Ave. in reference to a breaking-and-entering in progress. When they arrived, the 28-year-old female victim was found with several life-threatening wounds and said her ex-boyfriend, Alexander Bailey White, attacked her. She was transported to NHRMC, where she remains in serious but stable condition.

White fled the area in a 2017 black Nissan. His license plate is PHZ7073.
The public is on notice to cal 911 immediately upon seeing White.
