NHRMC fills 1,300 vaccine appointments in 20 minutes, says more slots to open this week

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — New Hanover Regional Medical Center announced it was opening appointments for Covid-19 vaccinations at 11:01 a.m. on Jan. 27. By 11:21 a.m., all 1,300 appointments were filled.

According to NHRMC spokesperson Julian March, “We will announce when new appointments are available and anticipate at least one more announcement this week.”

How to book an appointment:

  • Visit the NHRMC website and answer the qualification question: “Are you 65 years of age or older, or are you a Health Care worker with in-person patient contact?”
  • After answering “yes,”select at time slot in the virtual hospital portal through MyChart
