UPDATE: NHRMC Covid-19 vaccines appointments filled in 40 minutes

New Hanover Regional Medical Center said Thursday afternoon it now has appointments for vaccines.

Update: NHRMC has run out of appointments. The 1,200 slots were filled in less than 40 minutes.

Spokesperson Julian March said NHRMC is working to obtain more vaccines.

“So we can set up more appointments for next week – and every week – until we have offered a vaccine to everyone,” March said. “Already, we have administered more than 13,000 doses, including doses to healthcare workers, providers and members of the community.”

NEW HANOVER COUNTY – New Hanover Regional Medical Center has opened more appointments for its current supply of Covid-19 vaccines.

The announcement was made Thursday around 3 p.m. As of 3:30 p.m., multiple slots were still available for Saturday at The Pointe Movie Theater.

NHRMC is booking appointments through MyChart, its virtual patient portal, or by calling 910-662-2020. It is currently accepting healthcare workers and adults 65 and up.

People can check if slots are open anytime on the NHRMC website.
