WILMINGTON — Wilmington Police Department officers arrested 31-year-old Thomas Sheppard Wednesday for allegedly shooting a 20-year-old male.
Police responded to a shooting around 5:20 p.m. Wednesday and found a young male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injury.
Sheppard surrounded himself on the scene. Police believe he was arguing with the victim over a vehicle. He is being held under a $100,000 secured bond and has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
