Wanted Wilmington man arrested on multiple charges

WILMINGTON — A Wilmington man wanted for violating probation was arrested Thursday evening by the U. S. Marshal’s Carolinas Regional Task Force with the assistance of the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.

Tyzheem Nixon, 25, is charged with possession of firearm by felon, possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and interference with electronic monitoring devices.

Nixon is being held at the New Hanover County Jail without bond, according to the Wilmington Police Department.
