Man held without bond for murder of father

WILMINGTON—On Friday evening, Nov. 20, New Hanover County Sheriff’s officers responded to a 911 call to 1842 Caribe Court, where they found a victim dead from blunt-force trauma wounds.

On Saturday morning, deputies arrested 44-year-old Flynn Thomas Gruidl for first-degree murder of his father. Gruidl is being held without bond.
