Podcast – Reading Charlie Rivenbark’s mail, the life and death of Mike Adams [Free]

On this episode, we take a look at Wilmington City Councilman Charlie Rivenbark’s inbox. Then, a few moments to talk about the life and death of UCNW Professor Mike Adams — and the media coverage of it.

First up, we dive into emails sent to Rivenbark concerning the proposed Black Lives Mural in downtown Wilmington. Rivenbark made it clear he was opposed to the mural — and that he had plenty of support. Reading through his city council email, it’s abundantly clear that he was telling the truth.

We’ll read some of these emails to see what they have in common — and what they leave out.

Then, a few words about Mike Adams. As the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office appears to be wrapping up the case, with many signs pointing to death by suicide, what can be said? We read some more emails — this time, messages addressed to Port City Daily — about the coverage. Then, a few final thoughts.
