SOUTHEASTERN N.C. — New Hanover County Schools is reporting 204 Covid-19 cases and 12 quarantines for exposure on campus, according to the district’s dashboard. It’s the lowest number of cases since the week of Dec. 13-17.
The past weeks’ tallies were 342, 687, 910, 586 and 302.

As of Friday, Brunswick County Schools is reporting 34 active Covid-19 cases, including three in central services, on its dashboard. Just over 50 students and staff were exposed to the virus and quarantined.
BCS issues the following disclaimer: “This data reflects the number of reported COVID-19 cases in the district. Due to a revision in testing requirements from NC DHHS and in the Strong Schools NC Public Health Toolkit, the dashboard may not accurately reflect the number of positive cases or the number of close contacts.”
