BURGAW — A spring festival will take place in a quaint Pender County town the first weekend in May.
Pender Spring Festival is celebrating 46 years in Burgaw Courthouse Square. Local makers and artisans will vend homemade, handgrown and homegrown products. Plus there will be live performances from area dance and school groups, musicians and more. Kids’ activities and games will be available and artwork from school-aged children will be on display.
The free festival takes place May 3, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the Friday night before, on May 2 at 6 p.m., the town square will open for a street dance.
“Spring Fest is one of the highlights of our year,” Olivia Dawson, mayor of Burgaw, said in a release. “It’s a celebration of tradition and everything that makes Pender County a special place to call home.”
