Choo-Choo

What is your pet’s name?
Choo-Choo

What is the breed of your pet?
Yorkie

How was your pet’s name chosen?
It came to me out of the Blue but I think he thinks it’s Chew-Chew!

What is a fun or quirky fact about your pup?
His name should be “knit-picker” as he cannot stop picking snags in rugs, paint that has started to peel he will pull on, wood splinters on logs, you name it, he’ll pull and peel and/or unravel!

Do you have a favorite walking route, etc.? What is it and why?
We live on 240 acres, so a walk around the private lake is great but he seems to love the dirt 1/2 mile walk to the mailbox and back! He also likes to walk along River walk in downtown ILM.

Does your pet have a special talent? If so, what is it?
He is only 8 months old but already a great Frisbee player! Also, a great talent for digging holes for planting in the garden but just have not taught him to stop once the plants have come up!

If your pet was a famous human, who would they be?
The Tasmanian Devil. He is always looking for something troublesome to do! AND, he knows it, so there is some real smart bad boy in there that shows a bit of brilliant pre-planning in his sneaky Pete personality! Ask anyone from a couple of weeks ago dining on Front Street who saw us and stopped to talk. One couple thought him adorable and I told them (jokingly) they could have him as he was exactly the nickname above. At that moment, he jumped out of his stroller with leash and in a second was crossing Front Street in 5 O’clock traffic! I took off after him and fell right in the middle of traffic. Thank-you again to all who caught Choo-Choo unharmed, and picked me up from the pavement with two bleeding knees, palms and elbows. And one terribly frightened driver who slammed on brakes and just missed us … my apologies! The couple who loved him held him safely in their arms but the boyfriend said “You’re right, I don’t want him now-ha! Look at the devilish smile on his face!” He was smiling and unfazed and the memory long forgotten by him, me, I still cannot kneel down or walk with my legs completely straight!
