It’s a Super Bowl rematch when the Carolina Panthers face the Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium Thursday night. And, while the voice of the Panther’s Forest Orion “Mick” Mixon III stressed that it is not a real rematch, it’s a new season, with new players, he didn’t shy away from saying he hoped his team “stomped a mud hole” in the Broncos.
“I think the Panther’s will be ready,” Mixon said. “I think this team could be better offense than a year ago, and last year’s team scored 500 points.”
Mixon joined Port City Morning show host Linda Wylde for his weekly discussion, which acts as both a recap and preview for that’s week’s activities. The weekly interview can be heard each Monday during football season, with the exception of holidays, on Port City Daily’s sister station, The Dude, heard on your FM dial at 93.7 and 106.3.
This week, Mixon and Wylde touched on the team’s pre-season roster cuts, how the Panthers could approach defending against Denver’s quarterback Trevor Siemian, who will make his first NFL start in the game. Mixon is also asked what stadiums he prefers to call games from, which is a must hear for non-fans of the Washington Redskins.
