Stack led a UNCW offense that generated 10 runs on 12 hits and drew six walks. Adding two-hit games were Zack Canada and Robbie Thorburn. Canada and Gavin Stupienski belted their second and fourth home runs of the season, respectively.

The Seahawks built a 7-2 lead through three innings as they plated four runs in the third to break open a 3-2 game. Elon starter Jordan Barrett walked four and hit one as UNCW needed just one hit, a two-run single by Stack, to extend the lead to five.

Foster (5-0) earned his fifth win in six starts, allowing two runs on seven hits over seven innings. He walked three and struck out three, while recording 12 outs on ground ball, including a pair of ground ball double plays.

The Seahawks and Phoenix play the middle game of the three-game series on Saturday with first-pitch set for 2 p.m.
