Artists needed to complete two new murals in Carolina Beach business district

CAROLINA BEACH—Artists are need to complete the fourth and fifth murals for the Carolina Beach Mural Project. Murals will be in the Carolina Beach downtown business district and must capture the spirit of the beach.

The theme for mural four is “Beach Music” and will be painted on the side of Seawitch Cafe and Tiki Bar, which hosts live music throughout the warmer months. The mural should illustrate the joy of enjoying live music, including bands and the audience.

Mural five will focus on “Summer on the Boardwalk” and will be painted on Hurricane Alley. The painting should depict the liveliness of summers spent on the CB boardwalk, enjoy numerous bands and games, fireworks,. nearby rides, etc.

The deadline to submit concepts is January 30, 2021 and is open to any NC artist—artists from the Cape Fear region will be prioritized. Details about the project can be found at the CBMP website.  Submissions must be postmarked or emailed by January 30, and can be emailed to info@carolinabeachmurlas.org or mailed to CBMP, 1407 Croaker Lane, Carolina Beach, NC 28428.
