Missing Brunswick teen believed to be with 25-year-old ex-boyfriend in Virginia

UPDATE: On Wednesday, April 12, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office announced that Mackenzie Gail Rogers had been found and was safe.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY — Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a missing teen suspected of being with her 25-year-old ex-boyfriend.

Mackenzie Gail Rogers, 17, was last seen on Friday at her home on Buckwood Court in Leland at about 11 p.m., according to Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Emily Flax.

The teen left in an unknown direction of travel, but is suspected to be with her ex-boyfriend, Christopher Bratner, in Norfolk, Virginia.

Rogers is a 5-foot 5-inch tall white female who weights about 140 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. Rogers was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black T-shirt, Carolina blue basketball shorts and black Vans.
