WILMINGTON — Thelma Lee Hodges, 89, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice. She was the wife of the late T.E. Hodges.

She was born in Onslow County Nov. 5, 1927, to the late Charles and Mattie Coston Lee.

Thelma is survived by her son, Tom Hodges, and his wife, Barbara; two granddaughters, Amanda Nichols, and her husband, Nic, and Jane Worrell, and her husband, Tripp; three grandchildren, Keller, Tucker and Iris Nichols; and a host of extended family.

The family wishes to thank everyone at New Hanover EMS and Fire Department, NHRMC E.R. Staff and Lower Cape Fear Hospice for the gentle care they provided to their mother.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, at Andrews Market Street Chapel. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Wilmington. Pallbearers will be Nic Nichols, Tripp Worrell, John Munroe, Parker DuBose, Greg Thompson and Ed Worrell.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Lower Cape Fear Hospice or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
