Carolina Panther’s could need to ‘evolve as an offense’ (Mick Mixon podcast)

Last season’s NFC Champion Carolina Panthers lost on Christmas Eve to their rival, the Atlanta Falcons. In doing so, the team lost any chance of a .5oo season in 2016 and it is now looking toward next year. And that could mean evolving into more of a passing offense. That is according to Mick Mixon, the longtime voice of the Panthers, who made his weekly call in to the Port City Morning Show with Host Linda Wylde on the Dude 93.7 FM.

Mixon talks not only about next year, but the talented players the Panthers have to build upon, like lineman Tyler Larsen and record-breaking tight end Greg Olson. Olson on Saturday became the first tight end in the history of the league to have three consecutive seasons with 1,000 or more receiving yards.

“In a year where so much has gone wrong, Greg Olson has gone so right,” Mixon said.
