Alice Louise Janoski, 75, always the first to lend a hand

LELAND — Alice Louise Janoski, 75, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.

She was born on Dec. 6, 1940, in Rockford, Ill., to Rueben and Irma (Anderson) Fysh. She spent a lifetime of devotion and dedication to her family and friends. She always put others before herself and was the first to lend a hand.

She is survived by eight children, Mark (son), and wife, Karen Janoski, of Leland, N.C., Steven (son), and wife, Janet Janoski, of Winnabow, N.C., Michael Jr. (son), and wife, Jan Janoski, of Tucson, Ariz., Charles Janoski (son), and wife, Barbara Sparks, of Tucson, Ariz., Richard (son), and wife, Shelley Janoski, of Joliet, Ill., Victoria Bonham (daughter) and Cynthia Janoski (daughter) both of Leland, N.C., and Judith (daughter), and husband, Mike DeLaughter, of Leland, N.C.; 17 grandchildren, Steve Bonham, Stephanie Miller, Matthew Janoski, Christopher Janoski, Brooke Janoski, Brandon Janoski, Jake Janoski, Hailey Janoski, Erika Hall, Michael Janoski III, Amanda Zimmerman, Allison Saine, Charles Janoski Jr., Jason Janoski, Faith Janoski, Abby Janoski, Dylan Janoski; and seven great-grandchildren, Nolan Bonham, Ben Bonham, Jonathan Hall, Maquenzie Hall, Lilly Hall, Charlii Saine and Luna Saine.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Kenny McMahan.

At Alice’s request, a private family service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 6. A reception will follow that evening at her home from 5 to 9 p.m.
