CAROLINA BEACH –– The Carolina Beach and Kure Beach police departments, will hold a Public Safety Day festival this weekend at the Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area.
The event is free and for the whole family. It will be held this Saturday March 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event will help connect the community to resources they may not know are available within New Hanover County.
Local police, fire, EMS, federal agencies and military branches will be on hand sharing what they do. There will also be community organizations available detailing ways they help victims of crimes.
Included in the festivities are a Kids Zone with games and activities, food trucks and static displays of fire, police and EMS vehicles.
Local Government Federal Credit Union (LGFCU) will be sponsoring a free shred truck for disposing of old documents. Safe Kids Cape Fear will be providing free car seat safety checks.
