UPDATE: New Hanover County teen missing after skipping school returns home

UPDATE, Thursday: Reese Cole Bledsoe, 15, is safe and has returned home to his family, according to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.


NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Detectives with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a missing 15-year-old boy.

Reese Cole Bledsoe was last seen at about 7:30 a.m. leaving school on March 13, according to sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Jason Augst. He is believed to have skipped school Monday and Tuesday, and has not been seen since.

Reese is a 5-foot 10-inch tall white male who weighs about 130 pounds. He has blue eyes, and medium length brown hair. He was last seen wearing a blue windbreaker style jacket and light blue and gray Nike shoes.
