WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Family YMCA has announced the 4th annual YCC Beach Dash. This event will be on Saturday, March 25, at 11 a.m. at the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area in Kure Beach, N.C. They invite individuals, families, and teams of all ages to participate in this family-friendly obstacle course.
The YCC Beach Dash has three-plus blast stations, two brand new obstacles and loads more fun. At 1.4 miles long, the family-friendly Dash has 11 obstacles and blast stations throughout the course. Bring the family and climb, slide, crawl and dash down the beach while getting messy at some surprise blast stations.
Registration is now open on RunSignUp.com keyword: YCC Beach Dash. The first 300 participants will receive a super cool tie-dyed tshirt, sweet pair of sunglasses and finishers medal. Register a group of friends or family at the same time and get a discount on the registration fee.
This event is the ending of the 2016 Old North State Wealth Management Run Series and the beginning of the 2017 YMCA Coastal Carolina Run Series. This yearlong series consists of 12 events across Coastal Carolina; Nine 5ks, two 10ks, one family obstacle course, and two special event races.
Participation is the key: The more races you run, the more the muscles burn, the faster the legs turn, the more points you earn. Take an adventure across Coastal Carolina ranging from Ocean Isle Beach, Shallotte, Wilmington, and Jacksonville to compete alongside a variety of eager athletes of all ages. Points are earned by participation and by award placement. You must participate in at least three events to compete in the series.
Join the YCC Beach Dash for your chance to start earning points for the YCC Run Series. 2016 award winners will receive their prize at this event.
