WILMINGTON — Ivan F. Bouchard, 64, passed away Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Ontario, Canada, the son of the late Gerard Bouchard and Luci Croughs Bouchard. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Kendall House; and faithful canine companion, Gator.
Ivan enjoyed sitting at the inlet and drinking his morning coffee as he watched the boats roll in. He could often be found on the water or on a boat flounder gigging with his constant companion, Gator. He worked for three years at St. Mark Catholic School and as an upholsterer for vehicles and in other commercial facets.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 16 years, Darlene F. Ely; daughters, Tanya House and Melissa Farmer, and her husband, David; grandchildren, Emma House, Nathan Ely and Brian Graham; brothers, John Bouchard, Gerald Bouchard (Loretta), Denis Bouchard (Arlene), Andrew Bouchard (Derek) and Mark Michael Bouchard; sisters, Monique Payne (Donald) and Lucie Bouchard; and numerous other loving family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at noon Monday, Feb. 20, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home,Wilmington Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
