WILMINGTON — Dorse “Junior” Boswell, 86, was reunited with the love of his life, Marie, on Feb. 5, 2017.

Junior was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 67 years, Marie; mother and father; and four sisters and two brothers.

Junior is survived by his six children, Donnie Boswell Sr. (Linda), Larry Boswell, Pamela Wilder (Willis), Gregory Boswell (Sherry), Michele “Cookie” Cowin (Doug) and Philip Boswell (Bonnie); 10 grandchildren, Amanda, Donnie Jr., Heather, Tammy, Michael, Tiffany, Jeremy, Douglas Jr., Whitney and Ashleigh; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Boswell; and two sisters, Dolly Potter and Carrie Malpass (Eugene).

Junior was a truck driver by trade. He last drove for the entertainment industry and was a member of the Teamsters Local 391. Junior, along with Marie, and by the grace of God, raised six grateful children who never wanted for anything. He will be missed every day by all who loved him. However, he has reclaimed the part of his heart that was missing and is rejoicing with her in heaven.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
