Catherine Higdon, 62, loved a good cup of coffee and watching ghost-hunting shows

CAROLINA BEACH — Catherine Higdon, 62, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 1, 1954, in Clarksville, Tenn. Ms. Hidgon worked at the Walmart located on Market Street for five years until September 2016. She loved playing POGO games on the computer, watching shows about ghost hunters and a good cup of coffee.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Higdon and Charlie Higdon; and brother, Sammy Osborne.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, especially mom’s nurse, Clara, of the CCU and also Dr. Naomi Flock and all the nurses and staff on the seventh floor. Also, thank you to everyone who stood with the family during this time. “We love you all.”

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Sanctuary of Wilmington, 1111 The Cape Blvd., with Pastor Daniel Cook and Pastor Jake Louden officiating.
