Was your 2016 stressful? Disappointing? Just sorta weird in parts? Then you NEED the Comedy & Coffee Cure Show headlining winner of 2016’s ultimate comedy challenge, Melissa Douty at Morning Glory Coffee House in Wilmington!
Melissa Douty kicks comedy’s butt, and you feel good about it as she does. In addition to winning UCC 2016 (first female winner ever), Melissa’s been a performer at the renowned Limestone Comedy Festival, SheDot Comedy Festival, has been an opener for famous comedy folks and much more.
Melissa tricks you into believing she’s sweet as pie and innocent as babe in the woods, and then you realize she isn’t (well, not totally). She’s had a fascinating journey on her way to tell us jokes, so she’s just tired enough of being “interesting” that she’s grateful to have New Year’s entail no brew stronger than Morning Glory’s Coffee.
The show also includes feature performer Blaire Postman (2016 Finalist in Wilma Magazine’s “Women to Watch” Awards, Arts Category) and hosted by Wills Maxwell (WWAY’s “What Did We Miss?” commentator).
On New Year’s Eve, you might need champagne. But on New Year’s night you need laughter, caffeine and pastries … lots of homemade pastries.
