Bobby Weston Barefoot, 83, peacefully passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Life Care Center. He was the son of the late George Weston and Foy Bryan Barefoot.

Bobby was a graduate of New Hanover High School. In 1941, he became owner and operator of Coastal Heating & A/C until his retirement in 1999.

He enjoyed his family, especially traveling to horse shows with his daughters and fishing with his son. He starting a family gathering, “Family Night,” every Thursday night for the past 38 years. He enjoyed cooking, the laughter and togetherness. Summer and fall vegetable gardening was his passion during retirement years.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 63 years, Faye Moore Barefoot; three daughters, Andella Ottaway (Ronnie) of Hampstead, N.C., DeLayne Godwin (Bill) of Wilmington, N.C., and Bobbi Barefoot (Alois Malik) of Cherry Grove, S.C.; son, George Barefoot (Julie) of Castle Hayne, N.C.; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, five sisters and two brothers.

The family would like to thank Dr. John Pasquariello for many years of his compassionate care and to Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center for their care and kindness in his final days.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Andrews Mortuary, Market Street. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Wrightsboro Baptist Church. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery in Clinton, N.C.
